Fire & Water Damage Lead Technician

Emergency Mitigation Services (EMS) – Lenexa, KS

Pay: $18–$25 per hour (based on experience & certifications)

What You’ll Do

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, light demolition, and fire/water mitigation services
• Operate specialized drying equipment and restoration tools
• Set up containment areas, staging areas, and job site equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members throughout the project
• Supervise and assist technicians on job sites when needed
• Load and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and supplies
• Ensure all job sites are left clean, safe, and organized
• Follow company safety procedures and risk management guidelines
• Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license (required)
• 1–5 years of water/mold restoration experience
• Fire restoration experience preferred
• IICRC certifications preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Positive attitude, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to participate in a mandatory rotating on-call schedule

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work in all climates, including heat and cold
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at ceiling heights
• Comfortable working in tight spaces such as crawl spaces

Location Requirement

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Lenexa, KS 66215, EMS also serves Blue Springs, Lawrence, and the Kansas City metro area.
